How to get to Oriental Kwai resort.....

By public bus from the Southern busterminal (Sai Tai terminal)

Airconditioned busses (no. 81, blue bus) leave every 15 minutes from 5 am till 7 pm from Bangkok southern bus station ('Sai Tai' terminal in direction of Pin Klao/Putthamonton). It takes about 2,5 hours to reach Kanchanaburi bust station in a first class bus. Once you have arrived at the bus station in Kanchanaburi just give us a call and we'll pick you up ( tel. 061-6730670, this taxi is a free service at arrival). From the bus station in Kanchanaburi to our resort takes for about 20 minutes.

By private minivan or taxi

It is also possible to rent a private minivan or taxi to get to our resort, very comfortable but more expensive as public transport of course. You can rent the minivan or taxi yourself at the airport or the hotel you are staying at or you can let us know in advance and we will arrange one for you. A transfer from Bangkok (airport or hotel) to the resort via us is 2500 Bath incl. fuel (minivan, max. 8 persons). Of course it is most efficient to have the minivan completed, that means 8 passengers, for just 1 or 2 it is relatively expensive but still affordable. You can also consider taking a regular taxi meter and negotiate a price (±2000 Bath is normal for a drive to Kanchanaburi). If you travel with a taxi meter we recommend to bring our phone number (061-6730670) for the driver so he can call for directions in Thai on the way.

By train

Ordinairy trains leave Thonburi (Bangkok Noi) train station twice a day. You can find more information at https://www.kanchanaburi-info.com/en/train.html. Travelling by train takes more time than by bus, late arrivals are not unusual but it is an interesting but nice exprience. When you have arrived at Kanchanaburi train station just give a call and we'll pick you up (tel. 061-6730670, this taxi is a free service at arrival).

By public minivan

Nearby the Royal Hotel (For Thai: Rong raem Rattanakosin) is a busstand for public minivans. If you stand in front of the hotel walk to the left for a couple of hundred meters, the busstand is on the corner of a little side street opposit the 'Thai lottery building'. You can buy a ticket on the street and don't have to prebook. These minivans leave every hour or when the minivan is full. Ask for the minivan to Ladya, 'Oriental Kwai Resort' or 'OK-Resort' and it will take you to our resort (cost 140 Bath p.p., if you have a lot of luggage you have to pay for an exra seat sometimes). There are also public minivans leaving frequently from 'Sai Tai' Southern busterminal to Kanchanaburi busstation. Once you have arrived in kanchanaburi you can ring us for a taxi to the resort

( tel. 061-6730670, this taxi is a free service at arrival).
